Kingston Creative has unveiled two striking new murals in Montego Bay, created by Western-based artists as part of the TUI Colourful Cultures Jamaica project.

The 12-month initiative, funded by the TUI Care Foundation and implemented in partnership with Target 8.9, is designed to strengthen sustainable tourism and drive growth within the city's creative economy.

One of the murals, Echoes of MoBay, now commands attention on the Scotiabank building. Designed by Deon Simone and brought vividly to life by lead artist Rushane Drummond, with assistant artists Christopher Scott and Everton Jones, the piece captures Montego Bay's layered identity -- its history, movement and rhythm. More than a splash of colour, the mural positions culture at the heart of the city's future.

On St Claver's Avenue, stands Deep Cultural Emergence, created by Joel Cameron with assistant artist Taniki Anderson.

"We are especially proud that all of the murals were created by artists from the west," said Andrea Dempster-Chung, executive director of Kingston Creative.

"It is important that Montego Bay's creative story is told by the talent rooted here," she added.
